You may encounter wild animals.
Shiretoko Sightseeing Ship Aurora offers a laidback voyage and sense of security unique to a large ship. Passengers can take photographs on the observation deck and side deck while the ship is sailing. And when wild animals appear, the onboard monitor captures the creature on film in real time. Seats are available on board and you can take a seat as you take in the scenery and film. You’ll definitely want to take in the Natural World Heritage Site Shiretoko from aboard the Aurora.

Abashiri Ice Floe Sightseeing Icebreaker Aurora lets you view up close the ice floes that cover the Sea of Okhotsk in white. The shaking and sounds as it breaks through the ice floes is something that can be experienced only on the Aurora.
You are free to move about the boat while it is operating. See the ice flows up close on the side and rear deck on the first floor, and watch the white-covered sea set against the Shiretoko Mountains from the side, rear, and observation deck on the second floor. There are seats aboard the ship as well. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the ice floes aboard the Aurora.

We offer tours suited to each season and each area in the towns of Utoro and Rausu on the Shiretoko Peninsula. Utoro’s summer sightseeing ships let you enjoy the wilderness of Shiretoko from a variety of angles, whether inside the ship, outside the ship, or standing. While aboard, catch a glimpse of wild brown bears and deer as well as wild birds such as the spectacled guillemot, Japanese cormorant, and white-tailed sea eagle. We are not nature guides. We are a really laidback trip organizer specializing in ice floe walks.
Ice Floe Walk is a hands-on sightseeing program that uses our natural environment.
We’ve been hosting ice floe walks since we started in 1998.
All of our guides, including the president, are locals engaged in fishing or diving work.
No special preparations are required, as you wear a special dry suit over your regular clothes.
The activity takes 90 minutes, including transportation time.
There are shuttle buses that run between here and the hotel, so feel free to join.

Aqualand Sointse is an indoor facility that lets you play as you please without worrying about the weather. Meaning “sun” in Russian, there is a picture of an enormous sun on the wall as well as images of the blue sea and the Clionidae living in Shiretoko. The pool is up to a meter deep. With slides, gyms, and other equipment, enjoy an unforgettable moment of excitement.
*Solntse, the pool on the B1 floor, requires a swimsuit. Children must be accompanied by a guardian when using this facility.

- Does the dinner buffet differ depending on the wing or the room?
- No. The dinner and breakfast buffet is the same for plans including buffets.
- Do you have a dinner-only plan?
- Yes, our Marusukoi Dinner Buffet and Bath Set Plan is ¥4,320 for adults, ¥3,024 for children, and ¥2,160 for infants (all prices include tax). (Please note that we do not have a dinner-only plan.) Bathing is available from 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM. We may not allow entry to the dinner buffet when it is fully booked due to the busy season. We will provide information on entry times to available restaurants. Please be aware that you may not be able to enter the bath at your preferred time.

- Yes, we have a raised area between tatami mats and boards. However, we do not accept reservations specifically for these areas, as there are a limited number of seats available. We only accept requests, but please be aware that we may be unable to meet such a request. Please take this into consideration.

- Unfortunately, the discount cannot be combined with any other offers. However, it may be combined with mutual aid (Municipal Mutual Aid), so please inquire with us.

- Yes, all toilets within our hotel come equipped with bidets.
- Do you have non-smoking rooms?
- Yes, we have. However, there are limited numbers of these rooms, and we may be unable to meet your request.
- Do you have computer rentals?
- We offer our apologies. We do not rent computers.
- Do guest rooms have internet access (LAN connection)?
- Only the 1st floor lobby area of the West Wing and all guest rooms in the Shizen Wing have complimentary Wi-Fi. Guest rooms in the East and West Wings as well as other public areas do not.
*The 1st floor lobby area offers LAN cables as well. - Is there a mini bar in the refrigerator?
- We not have a mini bar, but since the refrigerators in the guest rooms are empty, you are welcome to stow items bought at the vending machines.
- Can I have ice delivered to my room?
- We offer ice delivery room service for ¥326 (tax included).
We also have complimentary ice machines on the 6th and 8th floors of the West Wing and the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th floors of the Shizen Wing. - Do you have large yukatas?
- Yes, ordinarily, we provide Small (155 cm) Medium (165 cm) and Large (165 to 175 cm), but we also have Extra Large (175 cm) and Special (starting at 180 cm). Please call the front desk to order.
- Do the rooms have humidifiers?
- All rooms come equipped with the humidifier/air purifier Plasmacluster. We have drained the water for sanitary reasons, so we ask that the guests fill the humidifiers themselves.
- Are extra beds available?
- We offer our apologies. We do not have extra beds available at our hotel.
- Can I bring a pet with me?
- Our hotel does not have a place to accommodate pets, so we ask that you either stay in a hotel that can accommodate pets, have a pet hotel in your neighborhood take care of it, or have someone you know watch it. When bringing your pet to the hotel, always bring a cage.

- We offer our apologies. We do not have towels at the public bath area. Please bring towels from your room.

- Both are available at the bath area. Hair dryers are also available in the guest rooms.

- Day visit bathing time is between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

- Yes, please ask the front for a reservation on the day you plan to use the bath. The family bath is ¥2,160 per hour.

- While you can come from Utoro Onsen Bus Terminal or Michi-no-Eki Utoro Sir Etok, there are long slopes that make it difficult for guests with luggage to walk. Please call the hotel so we can arrange a shuttle to come pick you up from Utoro Onsen Bus Terminal.
